Blackfriars: Lee Camp Is Yet Another American
American Lee Camp's rapid-fire, angrily opinionated thought-provoking comedy has garnered a lot of attention and comparisons to the likes of the late, great George Carlin.
His 2011 Edinburgh Fringe show received numerous 4-star reviews including one from the Heraldwhich said, ‘He’s like Jon Stewart’s Daily Show with sharper teeth. He’s a one-man Rage Against The Machine.’ The List called it ‘a barnstorming attack’ that left audiences laughing and impressed. The Skinny said it was ‘ferocious, clever, articulate & funny.’
Lee was at Occupy Wall Street on day one. He’s now performed at Occupations across the U.S. and Canada. Lee even cracked up Jeremy Paxman on BBC’s Newsnight, but perhaps he is best known for going live on Fox News and calling the network a 'parade of propaganda and festival of ignorance.'
