Description

A small independent contemporary hotel housed in an architecturally acclaimed buidling, the Brunswick is a great  example of the sort of place the Merchant City does very well indeed. The hotel is the perfect base for exploring Glasgow from, is easily affordable, and every May rooms fill up with excellent local DJs and bands playing live over six floors for the annual Get A Room phenomenon (started by Franz Ferdinand's art collective The Chateau).

The ground floor cafe-bar Brutti Ma Buoni (with a frankly ginormous menu spanning everything from tapas to toast, and exciting work by local artists all over the walls) is just as popular with locals as with visitors, and at weekends some excellent DJs playing both in the bar and the downstairs club space ensure a steady stream of Glasgow's bright young hipster things.
